Cute & Fun Xmas Card Decorating Ideas

A Brightly Beaded Christmas Tree!

You Will Need:

• A plain white folded card (C6)
• The blue-backed Christmas tree image from the Printable Christmas Card Making Kit here...
• 4 light green star-shaped gems (if you don't have gems, just use glitter or gel pens to make hearts and star shapes instead)
• Pearly red seed beads
• Spray on glue (I used 3M's Spray Mount)
• PVC glue
• Holographic micro-glitter

1. Print it out! Open up the Printable Christmas Card Making Kit [the what?] and print out the blue-backed Christmas tree image.
2. Tear it! Carefully tear along the inner edges of the blue design. You'll be left with a hand-torn blue rectangle with the Christmas tree image in the center.
3. Spray glue it! Spray glue the back of the tree image and stick it towards the top of the card, in a central position (in other words, there should be approximately twice the amount of white space below the torn rectangle than above it).
4. PVC glue it! Next we need to make the tinsel effect. Carefully draw four lines of glue on your Christmas tree, to resemble tinsel wrapped around the tree. Use the branches either side, as a guide for each line.
5. Glitter it! Sprinkle some of the holographic glitter over the glue (make sure you place a folded piece of scrap paper underneath, to catch the excess glitter when you shake it off). Tap off the excess glitter and return to the pot. Leave to dry.
6. Add seed beads! Dab 3 small blobs of PVC glue, equally spaced, along each of the top two layers of glitter on the tree. Dab four equally spaced blobs of glue along the third layer of glitter, and five along the bottom row. Stick a red seed bead to each blob of glue.

Tip: Use the picture above as a guide, if you need to.

7. Add gems! Add a star gem on top of the tree and fix the remaining 3 gems just below the bottom edge of the framed tree image.
