So if you're looking for Valentine cards to make, here's how to make this little beauty...

Difficulty Level: An intermediate Valentine card idea.

To make this card you will need the printable Sweetie Pie Bumper-Sized eKit, which can be found here...

You Will Need:

  • 6" square black card blank
  • Sheets #1 and #2 from the '11-4uonval' folder, sheet #17 from the '10-beloved' folder, and sheet #10 from the '05-sweetie' folder, all from the Printable Sweetie Pie Bumper-Sized Card Making Kit here...
  • Glue, scissors or craft knife and cutting mat
  • Black and white card stock
  • A narrow strip of acetate
  • Small piece of black and white spotty ribbon
  • White gel pen and black fine line pen
  • DST, glue and foam pads

Valentine Cards
To Make...

  1. Print it out! Open up thePrintable Sweetie Pie Bumper-Sized eKit [the what?].

    1. Open up the '11-4uonval' folder and print out sheet #1 and #2.
    2. Open up the '10-beloved' folder and print out sheet #17.
    3. Open up the '05-sweetie' folder and print out sheet #10.
  2. Cut it!

    1. Cut a 14cm square from sheet '10-beloved-17'.
    2. Cut a 9cm square from sheet '05-sweetie-10'.
    3. Cut a 10cm square of black card.
    4. Cut a large bordered sentiment from sheet '11-4uonval-01'.
    5. Cut out 5 hearts from sheet '11-uonval-02'.
  3. Stick it! Attach the large square to the front of the card blank.
  4. Doodle it! Doodle dots with the white gel pen around the border.
  5. Stick it! Stick the 9cm square (from sheet '05-sweetie-10') to the 10cm square of black card.
  6. Doodle it! Doodle dots with the white gel pen around the border, then attach this to the front of card.
  7. Stick it! Attach your sentiment to a piece of black card leaving a narrow border.
  8. Foam pads! Stick the matted sentiment to the front of your card with foam pads.
  9. Mat it! Stick the five individual hearts to some white card and cut them out, leaving a thin border all the way around each heart.
  10. Doodle it! Doodle dots with the black pen around the borders of each heart.
  11. Acetate! Glue the five hearts onto the narrow strip of acetate, then attach to front of card using foam pads.
  12. Ribbon! Finally, tie a small bow using the ribbon and attach to the centre heart.
And voila! A traditional yet quirky valentine's card that you can make in minutes!
