Valentine card making can be quite limited when you're stuck with the traditional red, white and pinks. This card breaks out of the mould and definitely adds a big splash of color!
Here's how to make it...

To make this card you will need the printable Sweetie Pie Bumper-Sized eKit, which can be found here...
You Will Need:
- A plain square card blank
- Sheets 1 and 5 from folder '15-i-crush' from the Printable Sweetie Pie Bumper-Sized Card Making Kit here...
- Ruler, scissors or craft knife and cutting mat
- 2 pieces yellow and blue card stock
- White card and paper
- Fancy edge scissors
- Glue / double sided tape and foam pads
- Sticky tape
- Bright, decorative ribbon
- 2 silk flowers (yellow and red)
- A blue brad
Valentine Card Making Instructions
- Print it out! Open up folder '15-i-crush' in
the Printable Sweetie Pie Bumper-Sized eKit [the
what?].
- Print out sheet 5 on to white paper.
- Print out sheet 1 on to white card.
- Cut it!
- Cut a square from sheet 5, slightly smaller than your card blank, leaving an equal border to all sides.
- Cut out one of the sentiments from sheet 1 into a square.
- Cut a square slightly larger than your sentiment, from the blue card stock, using straight scissors.
- Cut a square from your yellow card using your fancy scissors so that it is slightly larger than your blue card.
- Glue it!
- Glue your sentiment to your piece of blue card.
- Now glue this onto your fancy edged yellow card - allow to dry.
- Stick it! Use foam pads to stick the mounted sentiment onto the middle of the square you cut earlier from sheet 5.
- Tie it!
- Take your ribbon and place along the bottom of sheet 5.
- Secure on the reverse side with some sticky tape.
- With an extra piece of ribbon tie a bow or knot around the ribbon you have just secured and cut the edges on an angle.
- Flower power! Add your flowers and secure with a brad in the top left hand corner.
- Glue it again! Turn it all over, add glue and then attach to your card blank .... your card is now finished!!!
And voila! The cheerful Valentine card making idea comes to life!
