Thank You Card Making Idea - Thank You for ALL that you do!

The card was made as a HUGE thank you for a lovely lady who runs our one line group which is called "Stamping Blogging Sisters 9". She does loads for us and I wanted to show her that all she did was really appreciated.

I used a 14cm x 14cm white card and have covered with floral backing paper. I then drew 2 large scalloped flowers, cutting them out from a complimentary paper. I stamped the sentiment onto white card and layered up the hearts. I cut the sentiment to form the centre of my flower and matted onto black card stock. I cut around the circle with scalloped scissors and stuck to the centre of one of my large scalloped flowers. I have added a little doodling around the edges of the flower for definition and then softened with shimmer chalks.

The flower actually hangs away from the card and this is created by cutting out a strip of acetate which has been decorated with grois grain ribbon. This is then attached to the top of the scalloped flower with a brad. To cover up the acetate and the back of the brad, I have used the other large scalloped flower and stuck this to the reverse, giving me a double sided flower. Then take the othe end of the acetate strip and stick to the back of your card blank so that your flower hangs freely.

As a final finishing touch, I added a ribbon knot to the flower, sticking this on top of the brad.
