How To Make Handmade Children Cards
Print The Cat Out & Color Him In!

This card idea is great for a child to make and great to give to a child too.
To make this particular card making idea for children you need to print out our free printable card and cut out the cat image (see below for directions).
Difficulty Level: Beginner
You Will Need:
- A plain white card (C6)
- Spare card
- Coloring in pencils or felt tips
- Child-friendly scissors
- Foam Squares
How To Make This Printable & Handmade Card For Children
- Subscribe (Free): First you need to get the printable cat card. To access the cat card, you need to sign up to the free Ready-Made Card Printables Newsletter here...
- Access Your Free Printable Card: Once you've subscribed, you'll be emailed access details to the free printable cards section. Click on the card you want to print out (with the cat image on it). You'll be taken to a web page that contains the printable card.
- Add Paper Or Card: Put some paper or card into your printer. I prefer to use white, thin printable card. You can probably buy thin printable card from your local office supplies shop.
- Print: Print the page (if you wish to print a number of cards, change the number of copies you require in the print screen command window).
- Colour Him In! Colour the cat in and the 'Just To Say...' slogan below. Use pencil crayons, felt tips, glitter glue, paint... whatever you want!
- Trim it! Carefully cut the cat design out (ignore the whiskers that stick out). Then, trim the slogan so that it has a small white rectangular border around it.
- Foam-squares! Fix some foam squares onto the back of the cat design and slogan, and stick them onto your folded card.
And voila! Now you know how to make a handmade childrens' card! Easy peasy!
