Difficulty Level: An intermediate handmade card idea.

To make this card you will need the printable Sweetie Pie Bumper-Sized eKit, which can be found here...

You Will Need:

  • Mint green square card blank
  • Sheets 1, 15 and 18 from folder '17-iloveu2' and sheet 11 from folder '20-gorge-lady' all from the Printable Sweetie Pie Bumper-Sized Card Making Kit here...
  • 3 sheets of white paper
  • 1 sheet of white card stock for printing on to
  • Die cutting machine
  • Nestabilities scalloped oval die shapes (if you don't have a die cutting machine or oval dies then you can draw oval shapes onto paper and cut out using fancy edged scissors).
  • White organza ribbon
  • 2 different co-ordinating blue ribbons
  • Silver liquid pearls
  • Diamond stickles or glitter glue
  • 3 metal filigrees and 3 brads (yellow, pale blue and mint green)
  • Double-sided 3D tape and double-sided tape
  • Scissors and craft glue or glue dots
  • Cutting mat and craft knife, or paper trimmer

Steps For Making This Card...

  1. Print it! Open up the Printable Sweetie Pie Bumper-Sized eKit [the what?].

    1. Open up the '17-iloveu2' folder.
    2. Print sheet 1 onto white card stock.
    3. Print sheets 15 and 18 onto paper.
    4. Open up the '20-gorge-lady' folder.
    5. Print sheet 11 onto paper.
  2. Cut it!

    1. Cut a square from sheet 11 approximately 1cm smaller than the card blank.
    2. Cut a piece 6 x 13 cm from sheet 18.
    3. Cut out a pink 'I Love You' sentiment from sheet 1.
    4. Die cut 3 scalloped ovals with the Nestabilities. Tip: If you don't have a die cutting machine or oval dies then you can draw oval shapes onto paper and cut out using fancy edged scissors.
      1. Use sheet 11 to cut the largest one.
      2. Use sheet 15 to cut the next size down.
      3. Use sheet 18 to cut the smallest oval.
    5. Cut 2 pieces 3 cm long from the white ribbon.
    6. Cut 4 more pieces 3 cm long from the blue ribbons.
  3. Stick it!

    1. Stick the large dark pink square to the card blank using double-sided tape.
    2. Stick the strip from sheet 18 vertically down the left hand side of the card as shown, again use double-sided tape.
    3. Stick all the ribbons to the sentiment using craft glue or glue dots, making sure the colors are interchanged.
  4. Arrange it! Layer the oval shapes as shown and stick them together using double-sided 3D tape. Ensure they are lying flat.
  5. Stick it! Stick the sentiment on top of the large pink oval using double-sided 3D tape.
  6. Attach it! Push the brads through the centres of the metal filigrees and attach to the bottom left hand side of the card as shown.
  7. Glitter it!

    1. Add dots of Liquid Pearls to the edges of all the scallops and the sentiment.
    2. Add Stickles or glitter glue to the hearts on the sentiment.
