Subtle Home Made Christmas Card Ideas

Jack Frost's Baby Blue Holly

You Will Need:

• A plain folded white card (C6)
• The blue-backed holly image from the Printable Christmas Card Making Kit here...
• Light blue glitter
• PVC glue
• Spray on glue (I used 3M's Spray Mount)

1. Print it out! Open up the Printable Christmas Card Making Kit [the what?] and print out the page that contains the blue-backed holly design.
2. Tear it! Carefully tear along the inner edges of the blue rectangular design. You'll be left with a hand-torn blue rectangle with the white holly image in the center.
3. PVC glue it!
   1. Carefully color in the holly design with your glue. Don't use too much and make sure you don't go over the edges of the holly design.
   2. Outline the outer hand-torn edges of the blue snowflake rectangle with glue. Draw the glue slightly in towards the centre now and again, to create an 'icicle' effect.
   3. Outline the inner frame with glue too, using the same procedure.
4. Glitter it! Sprinkle some of the light blue glitter over the design (make sure you place a folded piece of scrap paper underneath, to catch the excess glitter when you shake it off). Tap off the excess glitter and return to the pot. Leave to dry.
5. Spray glue it! Spray glue the back of the glittered blue rectangle and stick it onto the top third of your card.

Tip: Try to make sure there's the same amount of space (give or take) around the top, as there is on the left and right sides of your hand-torn rectangle.
