- Open up the 'funky-christmas-part-4-of-4' folder and print out sheets 'funky-xmas213' and 'funky-xmas216' on to paper.
- Cut it!
- Cut out a 10cm x 14cm rectangle from the 'funky-xmas213' sheet.
- Mark and cut out 4 rectangles from 'funky-xmas216' sheet measuring 4cm x 6cm.
- Grab the 'funky-xmas071' sheet (with the Christmas tree on it) and a pencil and ruler. Draw a rectangle around the tree measuring 9.5cm x 7.5cm. Make sure the Christmas tree is in the center of the rectangle and cut it out.
- Ink it! Grab your brown ink pad and run it lightly along the edge of all the papers you have cut out. Tip: If you don't have an ink pad you can use chalks or any coloring pens or pencils to color the edges.
- Mat it! Stick the tree on to the plain green piece of paper. Cut the matted tree out, leaving a narrow border.
- Stick it! Remember the 4 rectangles you cut out from your 'funky-xmas216' sheet? Arrange and stick them centrally on the rectangle that you cut out from the 'funky-xmas213' sheet.
- Sew it! Use your sewing machine to sew around the
edges of the rectangles. Tip: Alternatively you can
use a pricking tool to pierce the holes around the edges and then
use a needle and thread. If you don't have either of those you can
fake it! Use a pen and draw dashes along the edges of the rectangles,
just like stiches.
- Sew around the edge of the matted rectangle with the tree on it.
- Sew around the edges of the 4 rectangles from your 'funky-xmas216' sheet that you stuck to the 'funky-xmas213' sheet.
- Layer it! Grab the green strip for your border.
Use the StampIn Up Scalloped Border punch along the bottom edge (or
any suitable border punch you have at hand).
- Take the 'funky-xmas213' sheet rectangle with the 4 'funky-xmas216' sheet pieces stuck to it and glue it to your card blank.
- Stick the matted tree on top, making sure it's in the middle.
- Decorate it!
- Draw some decorations on the Christmas tree using colored marker pens or pencils. Add some sparkle with glitter glue or plain glue and a dusting glitter.
- Glue some flowers to the front of your card in opposite corners. Tip: If you don't have any flowers draw some on a blank piece of paper and color in, then cut them out and layer on to the card.
