Difficulty Level: Beginner
To make this card you will need the pumpkin image and 'happy halloween' backing paper, which can be found in our Printable Halloween Card Making Kit here...
You Will Need:
-
A plain folded black card (C6)
-
The small pumpkin image and the 'happy halloween' backing paper from the Printable Halloween Card Making Kit here...
- Orange mulberry paper
- Craft knife or scissors
- Spare card
- Spray on glue (I used 3M's Spray Mount)
- 2 foam squares
Putting The Halloween Paper Crafts & Printable Clip Art Together ...
- Print it out! Open up the Halloween Card-Making E-kit [the what?] and print out the page that contains the pumpkin image. Also print out the page that contains the 'happy halloween' backing paper.
- Spray-glue it! Spray glue the pumpkin sheet onto some card.
Cut
it out!
- Carefully cut out one small pumpkin from your print-out.
- Place your folded card onto the orange mulberry paper and draw around the top, right and bottom edges of your card. The rectangle should be half the width of your card. To cut the rectangle out, cut the top, right and bottom sides of the mulberry paper with scissors or a craft knife and carefully tear the left edge by hand.
- Hand tear a small rectangle of the 'happy halloween' backing paper so that it's slightly larger than the pumpkin.
- Spray glue it!
- Spray glue the rectangle of orange mulberry paper and fix it to the front of your card.
- Then spray glue the hand-torn rectangle of 'happy halloween' backing paper and position it diagonally, towards the left side of the card, half way up.
- Foam squares! Fix some foam squares to the underside of the pumpkin cut-out and stick into place, over the backing papers.
Tip: You can skip this step if you prefer to print the pumpkin sheet directly onto card instead of paper.
And voila! That's just one way of putting the Halloween paper crafts and printable clip art together! Play about with the positioning and see what you can come up with...
... the great thing about the Halloween Card-Making E-Kit is that you can print out as many images and backing papers as you want! So you can play about with positioning, colors, and decoupage combinations... and not be afraid of making mistakes!
