Floral Doodle Iris Folding Card Making Idea With Ladybird

My Blue Floral Doodle Flower & Ladybird Card Making Idea

I used Making-Handmade-Card.com's beautiful, printable Floral Doodle papers & a flower iris folding pattern to make this card.

I wanted just to practise my paper iris folding skills learnt at my class and combined this with my first attempts at bead threading to make the ladybird.

I have made a few more cards like this and used them as 'Thank You' cards and general notelets.

They have been well received.

Thanks Claire!

This is lovely and looks so very complicated. Would you mind sharing your skills and let us know how this is achieved please?

Gosh Beverley, I did not check to see if I had any comments on this card. You aked about the techniques involved in making the card, saying that they must be complicated. They aren't, really!

There are instructions for paper iris folding freely available on the net together with free patterns.

As for the ladybird - my very first bead creature -again there are patterns available free on the net. I found the bead and wire work a bit fiddly to start with, but now I am addicted!!

Have a go - you will discover that you find all sorts of ways of combining techniques.

Best wishes,
Julia
