Let's get card making...

Difficulty Level: Intermediate

1. Print it out! Open up the Halloween Card-Making E-kit [the what?] and print out two copies of the page that contains the spider web image.
2. Cut it out!
   • Carefully cut out the body of the spider (i.e. not including its legs) from your print-out.
   • Cut out a rectangle from your spare black card - this will be for your slogan. My rectangle's sides curved inwards abit, just like the spider web.
3. Transfer it! Using your soft B pencil, scribble hard onto the back of the other copy of the spider web image that you printed out. Then flip it over, position it over the center of your card, and outline the image with a ballpoint pen, pressing fairly hard. Because the pencil led is shiny, you should just about be able to see the outline on your card, once it's been transferred.
4. Emboss it! Next you need to emboss the slogan, the spider, and its web.
   • Draw over the web with your black embossing pen in stages, so that you can sprinkle on the silver embossing powder before the ink dries. Use the silver embossing powder and your embossing heat tool to emboss the design onto your card as you go along.
   • Repeat the same process to emboss the spider's legs onto the card, but this time use the black embossing powder.
   • Emboss the cut-out of the spider's body, using the black embossing powder. Leave holes for the eyes (ok, ok, I know spiders actually have eyes on their feet, but stay with me here!)
   • Emboss the spider's eyes with the silver embossing powder.
   • With your embossing pen, write 'Happy Halloween!' and outline the rectangular cut-out of black card. Emboss as above.
5. Spray glue it! Spray glue the embossed spider's body cut-out onto the front of your card.
