Pretty Craft And Christmas Card Ideas
Beautiful Frosted Baby Pink Snow Flake
Pretty craft and christmas card ideas.
This card's photo doesn't really do it justice - it's absolutely beautiful to look at the real thing.
I particularly like the raised surfaces of the border and the snowflake design itself. It's a very beautiful yet subtle and understated Christmas card. Give it a try and see what you think...
Difficulty Level: Easy (knowledge of embossing needed)
To make this card you will need the pink-backed snow flake image, which can be found in our Printable Christmas Card Making Kit here...
You Will Need:
- A plain folded white card (C6). You can also use light pink colored card.
- The pink-backed snow flake image from the Printable Christmas Card Making Kit here...
- Holographic micro-glitter
- Baby pink embossing powder
- Clear embossing pen
- Heat tool (heat gun)
- PVC glue
- Spray on glue (I used 3M's Spray Mount)
Craft And Christmas Card Ideas : How To Make This Card ...
- Print it out! Open up the Printable Christmas Card Making Kit [the what?] and print out the page that contains the pink-backed snow flake design.
Tear it! Carefully tear along the inner edges of the pink rectangular design. You'll be left with a hand-torn pink rectangle with the white snow flake image in the center.- Emboss it! With your clear embossing pen, draw around the edges of the hand-torn, rectangular, snow flake image. Do this in stages, so that you can sprinkle on the baby pink embossing powder before the ink dries. Use the pink embossing powder and your heat tool to emboss the design onto the paper as you go along.
- PVC glue it!
- Carefully color in the snow flake design with your glue. Don't use too much and make sure you don't go over the edges of the snow flake design.
- Outline the hand-torn edges of the rectangular image (just on the inside of the pink embossing) with your PVC glue.
- Glitter it! Sprinkle some of the holographic micro-glitter over the design (make sure you place a folded piece of scrap paper underneath, to catch the excess glitter when you shake it off). Tap off the excess glitter and return to the pot. Leave to dry.
- Spray glue it! Spray glue the back of the glittered pink rectangle and stick it onto the top third of your card. Tip: Try to make sure there's the same amount of space (give or take) around the top, as there is on the left and right sides of your hand-torn rectangle.
This is quite an easy craft and christmas card idea but it produces a really stunning, beautiful result.
