How To Make This Cool Christmas Card Making Idea ...
- Print it out! Open up the Printable Christmas Card Making Kit [the what?] and print out the vanilla 'Jingle Bells' lyrics backing paper, and the (brown) aged music score backing paper.
- Spray glue it! Spray glue the front of your card. I used 3M's Spray Mount glue.
- Cut and tear it!
- Cut out a rectangle from the vanilla 'Jingle Bells' lyrics backing paper. It should be slightly longer than the height of your card and should span approximately three quarters of its width. Fix it onto the left side of your card. Then flip your card over and trim away the excess backing paper with a craft knife.
- Cut a strip of the (brown) aged music score backing paper, slightly longer than the height of your card. Carefully tear the left side, to give it a hand-torn look. The piece should span just over a third of the width of your card.
- Spray glue and fix it! Spray glue the back and then fix it along the outer edge of the front of your card. Then flip your card over and trim away the excess backing paper with a craft knife.
Emboss it! Next we need to create the vertical, gold embossed, 'zigzag squiggle'. With your clear embossing pen, draw a tight, vertical zigzag squiggle down the card, making sure it overlaps both of the backing papers. Do this in stages, so that you can sprinkle on the gold embossing powder before the ink dries. Use the gold embossing powder and your heat tool to emboss the design onto the paper as you go along.- Spray glue it! Spray glue the back of the skeleton leaves and then fix them into place onto the front of your card.
- PVC glue it! Add a big blob of glue onto the base of the skeleton leaves. Fix the clear flower bead (or bead of your choice) onto the blob of glue.
And voila! When it comes to cool Christmas card making ideas, this one's a wrap!
